Access to Art: Our Next Visits
A2A are launching a series of educational visits, starting at the National Gallery. This is an opportunity to learn more about some of the key works at the major galleries and museums. The talks have been specially designed for A2A members and will be repeated throughout May and June.
Educational visits are sponsored by Awards for All and the Sylvia Waddilove Foundation.
October
'Hadrian. Empire and Conflict' at the British Museum
This special exhibition explores the life, love and legacy of Rome's most enigmatic emperior, Hadrian (reigned AD 117-138).
November
'Educational visit to Tate Britian'
Access to Art members will enjoy a visit to Tate Britain's superb collection of English Landscapes. The visit will include two 40 minute lectures, exploring paintings by Turner, Constable and Gainsborough.
December
'Bruegel to Rubens, Master of Flemish Painting' at the Queens Gallery, Buckingham Palace
Comprising 51 works created during the period 1500-1665 in the Southern (Spanish-ruled) Netherlands, it includes materpieces by Hans Memling, Van Dyck and Teniers and a wonderful group of landscapes by Jan Brueghel and Rubens.
